At Castle, we believe every child deserves to feel happy, safe and valued. We are committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment where children are encouraged to be curious, resilient and confident learners who achieve their very best.

Our dedicated staff work hard to ensure that every child is supported, challenged and celebrated throughout their journey with us. We value strong partnerships with parents and carers, recognising that by working together we can provide the very best opportunities for our children. Castle has two classes per year group - we believe this provides the perfect balance between providing a broad social group for children to develop friendships across the year group and small enough to retain a small school family feel. 

We are proud of our caring school community, where our seven values of determination, respect, equality, kindness, courage, excellence and inspiration underpin everything we do. Alongside a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, we encourage children to develop the skills, values and confidence they need to thrive both in school and beyond. Children achieve exceptionally well at Castle and by the end of Year 6 when they depart for secondary school are prepared well for the next stage in their education.  Outcomes in national testing at the end of Year 6 are very strong over time, exceeding both Hampshire and national figures by some distance! (Please follow the key information tab for further information about results) We are relentless in ensuring that children achieve their potential in all aspects of the Early Year Foundation Stage and the National Curriculum. We also offer numerous experiences beyond the classroom via an enviable range of extra-curricular activities that include gardening, choir and music to name just a few as well as a wide range of sporting opportunities including cross-country, football, netball and cricket. We enjoy great success in sport with our teams regularly competing at district and county finals competitions.
