Lunchtimes at Castle

At Castle we see lunchtimes as an equally important part of our school 'curriculum'. At lunchtimes, pupils learn to socialise with their friends; engage in physical play and activity and develop their interpersonal skills. As such we have worked hard to ensure that the provision has something for all interests. A rota system is in operation for our adventure playgrounds and a rotation of toys and play equipment ensure that, if they wish, children can engage in small world play to building and making activities. And our two reading huts mean that anyone that fancies a quiet sit on a bean bag to enjoy a good book can as well!

We also have our own friendship bench which was kindly donated by Lazy Susan, a local company based in Southsea,  which we have placed near to the Reading Hut for pupils to use when they read and as a place to connect with other pupils.
