A big well done to all the children in year 3 for their positive attitudes, enthusiasm and kindness towards each other over the last few weeks since we returned to school.
It has been amazing for the children to have more space to play and to be able to mix with their friends from other classes at breaktimes and obviously we are all arriving and leaving at the same times now, so some things have returned to normal school life, which we are all celebrating.
Some measures will continue until further notice, for example the extra mid-day cleaning, frequent handwashing/sanitising and lots of fresh air. As we are ensuring ample ventilation in the classrooms, it can get a little chilly at times. If your child brings an extra jumper/fleece to school, we are happy for them to wear it in class to keep warm.
Just a reminder regarding the normal school routines:
This half term, we will have two PE sessions per week so we will need to come dressed in our sports kit on Thursdays and Fridays. Please still send in tracksuits etc. to keep us warm the rest of the day.
Homework is due in on Wednesdays.
Times tables and spelling tests are on Fridays, with new words and homework sent home on Fridays. We will start utilising Seesaw for this over the next few weeks.
Children can earn smilies for reading at home - every time they have read to an adult 5 times, they will earn a smilie. Please remember to write in your child's reading record as they love to receive their sticker.
Logins for Seesaw and TTRockstars will be sent home shortly.
Thank you for all your support at home. It is so beneficial for the children to understand the links between their lives at home and school.
