Year 3

Remote Learning

Remote learning will be through the use of the SEESAW app. All children have their own login and activities and videos to support learning will be posted daily by teachers. Teachers will also view and respond to children's efforts!

Year 3, we have been super proud of all the fabulous work you have been doing at home on Seesaw. If you haven't accessed these tasks yet, please log in and join us. We love hearing from you all.

All the current hand washing, staggered break times and entry and exit points and timings will continue as we enter the spring term. It has been fantastic to see how sensible and positive the children have been as they have become experts in all these routines.

As we are ensuring ample ventilation in the classrooms, it can get a little chilly at times. If your child brings an extra jumper/fleece to school, we are happy for them to wear it in class to keep warm. Please don't feel you have to rush out to buy one in school colours, anything they already have is fine, just preferably without any large logos.

Just a reminder regarding the normal school routines:

After the Christmas holidays our PE day will change to Thursdays, with football. Please still send in tracksuits etc to keep us warm the rest of the day. Please send your child in with a pair of old trainers in a labelled plastic bag for them to keep in their locker and wear just for football as we could be on the field and get quite muddy!

Homework is due in on Wednesdays.

Times tables and spelling tests are still on Fridays, with new words and homework sent home on Fridays.

Lots of children have been busy earning smilies for reading at home - every time they have read to an adult 5 times, they will earn a smilie. Please remember to write in your child's reading record as they love to receive their sticker.

Logins for TTRockstars have been stuck into the front of homework books and a new weekly year 3 interclass challenge starts every Friday.

Thank you for all your support at home, especially through our time of distance learning. It is so beneficial for the children to understand the links between their lives at home and school.
