End of year message to all children in year 5 (17th July 2020)
Good afternoon everyone,
So, here we are writing you one final message at the end of a very unusual academic year, which feels like a bit of an anti-climax. It feels very strange that we will no longer be your teachers in September, but the time we did have together was very memorable and enjoyable. We have no doubt that you will all love year six with your new teachers: Mr Loneragen and Mrs Metherell, who we know are very excited to meet you - it'll be a super final year for you all at Castle Primary.
When we return in September, please do come and visit your old classroom to say hello - it'll be great to see some friendly faces.
Over the past few months we have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the perseverance and effort that has gone into your home learning - we know it has not been easy. We have enjoyed seeing lots of fun and creative pieces of work posted on Seesaw and the school website. In addition to this, we have loved being able to reconnect with a lot of you on Zoom calls, as well as phone calls on a couple of occasions.
Don't forget that over the summer holidays there will be some activity packs that'll be available for you all to do on the class page on the school website. There is also the PE initiative of 'Trek to Tokyo' to follow and complete, which will keep you all active. Finally there is the Summer book reading scheme, which is available, again on Seesaw and the year 5 class page on the website.
We wish you a very enjoyable and sunny summer holiday and will look forward to seeing you all around and about school in September.
Take care and relax,
Mrs Barker and Mr Banner (17/07/2020)
