We look forward to welcoming all the children who have been offered a place in Year R for September 2016. We have a welcome pack available in the school office for collection with details of key dates for induction and other events.
The first 'Stay and Play' sessions will be Wednesday 27th April at 3:45-4:15pm. We look forward to seeing as many parents as possible then. Please note that you must confirm acceptance of your child's place and collect the pack by Tuesday 3rd May. We will also require proof of address and your child's date of birth before this can be finalised.
Signing Club starts again today from 3:30-4:15pm. However, due to other activities in school will not run on the following dates:
19th April
26th April
14th June
After the crossing on Monday, Year 6 arrived at Bembridge Lifeboat Station. The children enjoyed learning about the two boats which are used - staff complimented the children on their questions and good manners!
Everyone has settled into life at Little Canada. The groups have completed many activities such as zip wire, indoor climbing and trapeze. We are really pleased with how well the children are challenging themselves and providing support to each other. Children are eating well and are enjoying the choices available! The weather has been kind, was a little chilly yesterday but today everyone is enjoying the bright sunshine. They are sleeping well and enjoying sharing the chalets with their friends.
Today the group will be joined by Mr Bartlett, whilst Mrs Thomas will return to school.
Don't forget to come in to school for our Christmas Walkaround on Tuesday 15th December between 3:30 and 4:00pm to view your child's classroom and the Christmas displays around the school. Mince pies will also be available in the Dining Hall.
Signing Club will be also cancelled tomorrow after school and relevant parents should have received a text in this respect.
We have received this message from the Fareham Meon Rotary Club:
Very many thanks for once again participating in this scheme and your continued support is greatly appreciated. With your help our club was able to send 1,556 boxes, which was a record for us, to the Philippine Community Fund’s depot at Horton Heath, near Hedge End. Other Rotary clubs in our District also sent boxes to the depot and the final total was 5895 and these have already been shipped out to the Philippines. In addition it is expected that over 27, 000 boxes collected by Rotary clubs will be sent to the other countries with which Rotary is involved.
Would you thank your pupils for collecting 45 boxes which are going to children who live in such appalling conditions and poverty. If you go to the Fund’s website at www.p-c-f-.org you can see a gallery of pictures which bring home their situation.
Many thanks for your continued support and I do hope you will help us again next year.
