Year 6 Leavers' Assembly
We are all looking forward to this special assembly and the children have been working hard in order to make it a memorable occasion.
The assembly will start at 2.15 on Tuesday 21st July, so parents are asked to arrive from about 2 pm. There is only enough space in the hall for 2 people per Year 6 child - please do not exceed this number as we will be unable to fit everyone into the hall! We would also ask that parents who do not have a child in Year 6 refrain from attending.
We look forward to seeing you all on the day.

Year 5 & 6 disco
The children had a lovely time and would like to say a big thank you to Mr Stringer and all the FOCs helpers for running such a great disco!
Wow! Yesterday afternoon I was transported to the African savannah; the animals, the sunsets, the heat. Yes, this was the fabulous production by Years 5 & 6 of the Lion King and what a production it was. Simply staged, with imaginative costumes, there was no need for any other props or staging other than a magnificent Pride Rock. I would like to congratulate all of the children who were sensational and a big well done to the staff who made it all happen. If you haven’t booked your tickets, then hurry before they sell out.
Here we go again! Yes, members of school staff are once again running through mud and over obstacles in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research.
If you would like to donate, please follow the link or come into school where we have a sponsorship form. All donations are greatly received and there will be photos to follow. Good luck to all the staff: Mrs Gallagher, Mrs Draper, Mrs Frost, Mrs Blackwell, Mrs Barker, Mrs Rugman, Mrs Martin, Mrs Hickey, Mrs Murphy and Mrs Scovell.

Many thanks.
As part of the new maths curriculum, children need to understand scale. To aid them with this, year 5 have been designing and building their own 1/10 scale model of a bedroom at Hogwarts.
We first looked in detail at the 1/24 model of Hogwarts Castle (see photos below) and then we worked out which items we would like in our bedroom, and what their scaled sizes would be.
They produced some fantastically designed items, all to scale, and even designed some new items of their own.
