Important information regarding coronavirus and the half term break.
To help keep the whole school community safe we still need to report any confirmed cases of corona virus to Public Health England; and will need to advise parents of any children, and any staff members, who would be classed as close contacts of a person who received a positive test result.
To ensure this process happens we have a dedicated email address of info@castle.hants.sch.uk, which is to only be used for reporting any suspected and confirmed cases of coronavirus.
If your child shows any of the signs of coronavirus (a new continuous cough, a high temperature or a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell), we ask that you:
In the event of a positive case, we will liaise with PHE, and all contact from the school will be via the info@castle.hants.sch.uk email which may show up as “Castle Primary School – Urgent” in your email inbox or the normal school communication email.
Thank you for your continued support.
Look out for the letter going home on Friday regarding this year's appeal. Children will be asked to wear something spotty in return for a £1 donation.
We have set up our own Just Giving fundraising page for donations should you prefer not to send in cash. the link for this is available in the Parents tab / Useful Links - we would love it if you can help us reach our target.
Unfortunately, due to government advice, we will not be able to invite parents to join school tours with the headteacher this year.
However, we are planning to make a virtual tour available and will provide further information as soon as this has been completed.
You will have no doubt have seen the very positive news of the government’s plan for the full opening of schools from September 2020. Please rest assured that we are currently working through the guidance and will update you as soon as we can about our plans for welcoming all our current Years R - 5 back to school in September. We are currently planning to open for pupils from Monday 7th September.
For all the children starting with us in Year R in September please take a look at our super story book about starting school with Lucy and Ben. Thankyou to Honeycomb books who have produced this for us.
